The X400 10 wt. is the ideal mid-sized saltwater reel.  It's perfect for reds, stripers, or anything else you might find yourself into.  Like all InterCoastal Series reels from Gilmore Reel, the X400 has a dual disc cork to graphite composite drag system, making it extremely reliable against the biggest fish.  The simple symmetrical spool design makes it inexpensive to carry several different line weights and tapers for varying conditions.

Spools add a significant amount of versatility to your reel. By adding a spare Standard Arbor Spool you can increase the types of lines that you to adapt to various conditions or spieces of fish. At only $114 ea. you can have several spools with varying line weights and tapers for size 10.

Large Arbor Spools add a significant amount of versatility to you reel. By adding a Large Arbor Spool to the X400 Gilmore Reel, you actually change the size of the reel from a 10 Wt Standard Arbor to an 8 Wt Large Arbor Reel. In other words you can fish for two size spieces of fish with the same reel simply by adding a Large Arbor Spool.
