The X425 12 wt. is currently the second largest of the InterCoastal Series.  It was designed for tarpon and tuna.  It has a full caged reel body to add a significant amount of rigidity to the body, while maintaining a light weight.  Like all InterCoastal Series reels from Gilmore Reel, the X425 has a dual disc cork to graphite composite drag system, making it extremely reliable against the biggest fish.  The simple symmetrical spool design makes it inexpensive to carry several different line weights and tapers for varying conditions.
